On March 20, 2015 Granite Transformations installed countertops in our home. When they arrived they commented on how immaculate the floors and cupboards were. While the workers were installing the granite countertop they dropped one of their tools on our 8 month old kitchen floor. There was dust all over the floor and I didnโ€™t notice the gouge in my brand new hardwood floors until they had left and we thoroughly cleaned. I thought a company that boasts about their customer service would have workers honest enough to admit to damage that they had done.

When I called the office I got the pleasure of speaking with Tammy. She was rude and couldnโ€™t be bothered with this problem. She sent over someone with a stain pen to fix a gouge. I called again to let her know this was unacceptable, she stated that once we signed off there was no going back. She even went so far as to say that there was no way that Granite Transformations was giving us a new floor. Why would we want a new floor when the $6000 one that we had installed was only 8 months old? All we wanted was the gouge fixed, which meant replacing ONE board that would have cost 187.00. I then asked to talk to the owner Greg Brown, but was told that she would be handling this. The only thing that Tammy should be handling is something that doesnโ€™t involve any form of customer relations. Iโ€™m quite sure that Iโ€™m not the only one that has had to deal with such a rude ignorant person.

After dealing with the delightful Tammy I called Head Office. I was told they would look into it and send an email to Greg Brown. I was told to wait and see if he got back to me. I never heard back from him and when I called head office again they said they would look into it. I am wondering what purpose head office serves because I canโ€™t help but notice it is May 4th and nothing has been done to rectify this problem. In the end we never heard back from the owner and the board was never replaced.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $187.

Preferred solution: we want granite transformations to pay for the board by the company who installed it..

Granite Transformations Pros: Work done.

Granite Transformations Cons: Nightmare.

Location: Calgary, Alberta

I was thinking of calling them but don't like how they handled your damaged new floor. Will contact another company. Thanks for your review

Thank you very much........I kept hearing how great the company was on the radio.......you just save us from making the same mistake! I read other comments, apparently their customer service is horrible.

When I had a problem a few years ago with a company & couldn't get it taken care of, I contacted our Attorney General. The situation was taken care of within a week or two (it's been a few years). Hope this helps.
